We are honoured to add President Trump’s name to this distinguished list.
Our decision to honour President Trump reflects his dedication to addressing complex international challenges through negotiation and innovation. Notably, his efforts to foster potential peace talks between countries in conflict have demonstrated a willingness to engage in dialogue during one of the most critical periods in recent geopolitical history. At a time when global stability is fragile, his initiatives signal a commitment to de-escalation and constructive diplomacy.
Equally noteworthy is President Trump’s recognition of the role technology plays in fostering connections across borders and maintaining a sense of global unity. His intervention with TikTok, for example, demonstrates a nuanced approach to balancing security concerns with innovation.
Since coming to Office, he has also secured $500 billion in private sector investment for the largest AI infrastructure project in history. Industry leaders such as SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, Oracle co- founder Larry Ellison, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman have all credited President Trump’s election victory and leadership as pivotal to making this unprecedented initiative a reality.
Saudi Arabia has separately announced its intention to invest $600 billion in the United States over the next four years, strengthening U.S.-Middle Eastern economic relations and fostering global stability.
Dr. Muhammad Farmer, President and Founder of the British Institute of Technology, emphasises the significance of this award, saying: “Leadership in peace and technology requires a blend of vision, courage, and the ability to make decisions that transcend immediate gains for the greater good.
“President Trump’s actions in fostering peace and protecting technological livelihoods are a testament to these qualities.
“By conferring this award, we aim to inspire future generations to view leadership as a tool for building bridges and driving progress.”
In collaboration with organisations and communities in the East of England, the British Institute of Technology has extended an invitation to President Trump to attend a formal presentation ceremony at the historic Shrubland Hall in Suffolk, England. Shrubland Hall has previously welcomed eminent figures such as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
