The world academic council first convention had delegates from over 20 nations, including vice chancellors, the World Bank, head of student union, politicians and parliamentarians. The success of the convention led to the creation of the World Academic Council and its new objective to have a convention in each country around the world sharing best practice in leadership and corporate responsibility in higher education. The 2020 Convention will bring together Chancellors, Vice Chancellors/Rectors, Principals, Government Representatives, Banks and Industries to discuss the following themes and topics:

The World Academic Council is chaired by Sir Graeme Davies, an internationally renowned personality and former vice chancellor of three universities: the University of Liverpool, the University of Glasgow and the University of London and Chief Executive of HEFCE. Emeritus Professor and Honorary Fellow of University of Cambridge.
The council with its emeritus members seeks to create a non-profit academic platform for high-level discussion and shared best practice on the future of global higher education and how we can bridge the gap of quality and standard, delivering education beyond borders. We are also seeking interested Universities who would like to be nominated to represent their nation as the lead University and also be a voting member of the Council.
Paper submission – research papers and articles are peer reviewed and published in the World Academic Council Journal. Deadline for paper submission is 31st March 2020.
The paper must address the above themes and topics and include current dilemma or awareness of issues faced in the higher education, this can be national or at an international concern.
